The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily control of the workshop in order to maintain a high level of productivity and quality repair. You will also be responsible for a large team of Technicians, motivating, supporting and leading them to drive the business forward. The role:


To manage the process of optimising workshop resources to meet agreed departmental budgets

To ensure customer requirements are fully understood and communicated in an effective manner to other members of the department

Monitor individual and workshop efficiencies to ensure key performance indicators are met

To calculate and manage the effective use of the workshop

Plan the distribution of work amongst the team utilising available skills mix

Identify individual training and development needs

Manage liaison between workshop and service reception on customer vehicle progress

Manage workshop standards in accordance with HSO requirements

Resolve customer issues in line with agreed standards and customer expectations

Manage any necessary liaison with department manager regarding customer dissatisfaction

Ensure understanding and adherence to the requirements of brand service requirements and customer satisfaction indicators
